Barred Owl recently unveiled a new brunch menu, and it’s one to behold. Their reputation for fresh-cut meats and local ingredients is showcased in a wide selection of salads, soup, quiche, sandwiches, benedicts, plates, and à la carte items. Try their Chicken Biscuit with buttermilk fried Buttonwood farms chicken thigh, pickled mustard seed, spiced honey and pickled jalapeños. Or, opt for something sweet — the Bread Pudding French Toast has maple whipped cream and apple butter, and looks irresistible.

Founded in 2009, Broadway Brewery mixes fresh flavors and a farm-to-table approach with a rustic brewery atmosphere. The owners of the brewery also operate two local farms that provide many ingredients for their constantly rotating menu, ensuring that their seasonal ingredients are always fresh and help support the community. Their Sunday brunch menu features lots of delectable dishes like the Croissant Sandwich and Bagel Lox. Be sure to try their famous Broadway Stack complete with house chili, home fries, crumbled biscuit and two over-easy eggs topped with sausage gravy and hollandaise. You can also never go wrong with the Working Class Hero, a classic combination of farm eggs your way, home fries, your choice of protein and toast.

Since opening in 2006, Café Berlin has established itself as a major player in CoMo’s brunch scene. Located in the North Village Arts District, this casual café is known for serving hearty, locally-sourced food in an eclectic atmosphere with hipster flare. The menu is full of unique dishes with lots of vegetarian and vegan options. Be sure to try some fan favorites like the Starving Artist with biscuits topped with potatoes, sautéed greens, two eggs and vegetarian gravy, the Carey Burrito with scrambled eggs, feta, apples, potatoes and cilantro, served with tzatziki sauce, or the Walt, their notorious waffle breakfast sandwich with avocado, chipotle mayo, bacon, tomato, mixed greens and a fried egg.

Located on the ground floor of the Broadway Hotel, this modern eatery is the perfect place for a swanky weekend brunch. No need to check in to a room to dine here! Open seven days a week, Eleven Eleven serves contemporized worldly cuisine with dishes like Sautéed Shrimp and Grits, Chorizo Huevos Ranchero and an assortment of frittatas. Range Free is a bakery and café located in the North Village Arts District dedicated to serving foods that are free of gluten, peanuts, fish, shellfish and tree nuts. Whether or not you have allergies or dietary preferences, everyone can get behind the incredible breakfasts, baked goods and of course, brunches at Range Free! Highlights from the Saturday brunch menu include a Scrambled Egg Bar, Biscuit Sammiches, Savory French Toast and Roasted Carrot Ginger Soup. A contemporary lounge by day and nightclub by night, Room 38 is unusually also an extremely popular downtown brunch spot. The intimate and trendy back patio area is the perfect place to get a fun photo op while enjoying a bottomless mimosa. If you’re not a fan of the traditional O.J., they also offer apple cider, grapefruit and pomegranate to accompany your bubbly. Or, try a boozy coffee concoction, like the Millionaire with amaretto, frangelico, kahlua and baileys, or the Vanilla Mousse with vanilla vodka, amaretto and baileys. When it comes to food, make sure to try one of their many unique takes on classic breakfast dishes like eggs benedict (“Benny’s”) or biscuits and gravy (“Bs and Gs”). Feeling something sweet? The Sinful Waffle is sure to satisfy.

A place that serves brunch food all day, every day? Count us in. This casual sports bar serves their entire menu (breakfast, lunch and dinner) all day, every day. Let the brunch options commence! If you have a sweet tooth, be sure to try their Peanut Butter Chocolate French Toast. If you’re extra hungry, try the Enormous Omelet, Heaping Hashbrowns or the Breakfast Stack (AKA “Biscuits & Gravy on steroids”). Truman’s has a full bar everyday, so feel free to complete your meal with a Mimosa, Bloody Mary or Irish Coffee.
